Description
This handgonne was made by blacksmith who was one of his country's first gunsmiths, making handgonnes for the town militia, mercenaries and other such folk. He experimented a bit with the design and this was one he was rather proud of, a handgonne with a barrel on either end. That way the user could turn the barrel over after firing and shoot a second shot before having to reload. He sold a couple dozen of them over his life, a few users came to have a special appreciation for them and a few knock offs on that design, but in the end it never really caught on.

It does have some interesting advantages, mainly that it avoids the flashover problem that many muzzle-loading muti-shot weapons have where firing the first shot can cause the others to go off as well. With a barrel on each end, there is no possibility of flashover. The main issue this thing would have, I think, is that it might be difficult to keep your second shot from falling out while aiming your first.
