FIRE ALL LANCES

(Timeline-3177) Battle of Shin Hiroshima, IJSN Admiral Okina has his battleship task force fire a Lance Salvo against the command squadron of a European Alliance Fleet which was moving against another squadron under the command of Admiral Won. IJSN battleships are equiped with Particle Lances, super heavy long range energy cannons with longer range than that of even the most sophisticated turret mounted graser cannons capable of inflicting massive amounts of damage against enemy warships, as you can see it's results against these Westfalen class crusiers. This comes at a cost, as it takes a considerable amount of time charge these weapons, requiring energy from every capacitor on board and takes a sugnifigant time to cool down afterwards and immediatley after firing defense screens and every weapon larger than a point defense gun is inoperable for a few minutes. The Particle Lance cannon itself is fairly fragile and expensive and is generally covered behind an armored hatch between firings. This salvo was sucsessful in destroying three cruisers, crippling two and inflicting heavy damage upon the command ship, including killing the Admiral and destroying command and control abilities across the European Alliance's fleet. This disruption allowed for the IJSN to cause sugnifigant casualties to force the EA's fleet into retreat.
